The Hansgrohe 94282000-CP is a compatible screw-in brass thermostatic cartridge for selected Hansgrohe concealed and exposed thermostatic shower mixers, bath/shower mixers and showerpipe systems whose spare-parts diagram specifies cartridge code 94282000. This is the brass compatible version and is not supplied as the original HANS-94282000 cartridge.

The cartridge controls the proportions of hot and cold water entering the mixer to maintain the selected outlet temperature. Replacement may be required when the temperature fluctuates, cannot be controlled correctly, does not become sufficiently hot or the water flow is restricted by limescale and debris around the cartridge filters.

Do not identify the cartridge solely from its length, diameter, spline count or 3/4" BSP thread because visually similar cartridges can have different internal operating characteristics.

Fault Checking

- - Symptom: unstable or fluctuating outlet temperature

- - Likely Cause: restricted cartridge filters, limescale accumulation or failure of the temperature-sensitive cartridge mechanism

Installation Information

Isolate both hot and cold water supplies before dismantling the mixer. Remove the temperature handle, stop ring and any components covering the cartridge. Unscrew the old cartridge using a suitable spanner on its hexagonal section. Apply only a thin coating of suitable silicone grease to the replacement O-rings, install the cartridge without damaging the seals and recalibrate the temperature control after reassembly. Concealed mixers may require removal of the handles, retaining components and cover plate before the cartridge can be accessed.
