Hansgrohe 96619000 is a chrome flow-control handle for selected Hansgrohe Ecostat 1001 SL and Mediano exposed thermostatic mixers. It fits the right-hand control position and is the external operating handle rather than the internal flow or diverter cartridge.
On shower-only mixers, the handle operates the shut-off and flow cartridge. On bath/shower mixers, it operates the shut-off and diverter assembly to turn the water on or off and select the shower or bath outlet. It does not control the mixed-water temperature; that function is performed by the separate 96618000 temperature handle.

If water continues dripping from the shower head or bath spout while the mixer is turned off, inspect the internal 94149000 flow cartridge or 96509000 shut-off and diverter cartridge, as replacing the external handle alone will not correct an internal shut-off fault.
