The GROHE 47812000 is a chrome temperature-control handle for selected concealed Grohtherm 3000 Cosmopolitan shower and bath/shower thermostats. It provides the external control used to adjust the mixed-water temperature and is a separate component from the thermostatic cartridge and concealed valve body.

This is the 43°C temperature-limiting handle version, with GROHE LongLife finish. It is the service replacement for the discontinued 47805000 handle, but the installation's temperature-stop arrangement must be checked before fitting. It can be used to renew a damaged temperature control, rather than as a substitute for repairing a faulty internal thermostatic cartridge.

Concealed Valve Identification

For installations using the GROHE 35500000 Rapido T Concealed Thermostatic Mixer, the finishing-set code must also match. The concealed body number alone is not sufficient to select this handle. The 34278000 installation uses a different internal valve arrangement, so its thermostatic cartridge must not be selected from the Rapido T parts list.

Compare the full model code, handle shape, mounting arrangement and temperature-stop configuration with the existing installation. The UK 19962000 and 19963000 variants use a different handle arrangement, so the Grohtherm 3000 Cosmopolitan range name alone is not sufficient to establish fitment. This concealed-fitting handle should not be confused with the 47811000 exposed-mixer version.

Follow the installation instructions for the exact mixer, position the handle and temperature stops correctly, and check the outlet temperature with a thermometer after fitting. Handle markings alone do not confirm the delivered water temperature. Isolate the water supplies before servicing internal valve components. Persistent temperature instability or leakage may require investigation of the internal cartridges or seals, rather than replacement of the handle alone.
