GROHE 47809000 Grohtherm 3000 Cosmopolitan 210mm Chrome Concealed Shower Escutcheon Plate
GROHE 47809000 is a round chrome escutcheon plate assembly for selected concealed thermostatic shower mixers. It is used in the specific Grohtherm 3000 Cosmopolitan, Grohtherm 2000 and Grohtherm 1000 installations listed below.
The escutcheon forms the visible wall trim around the separate temperature and flow controls, covering the concealed valve's installation opening. It can be used to renew a damaged or marked faceplate without replacing the complete shower mixer. This is an escutcheon assembly, not a complete shower valve or a finishing set containing the control handles and internal cartridges.

Check the exact shower or finishing-set model, existing escutcheon reference, control-opening arrangement and mounting components. A matching diameter, similar appearance or shared concealed valve body does not establish fit. Different finishing sets within the same Grohtherm range can use different escutcheons. Contact us with clear photographs of the existing controls, plate and any identifying codes when the model is uncertain.
The following are separate service parts for the installations listed above. They are not included with the escutcheon and are not all required for a faceplate change. Select each component against the exact finishing set, concealed valve and installation version; the 34278000 uses a different internal cartridge arrangement from the Rapido T-based installations.
Follow the instructions for the exact shower model when removing the controls and escutcheon, retaining the correct control positions and temperature-stop settings. Isolate the water supplies before servicing internal valve components. A persistent drip from the shower head when the shower is turned off requires investigation of the flow-control assembly; changing the escutcheon does not repair an internal shut-off or temperature-control fault.
