Apply only a light, even coating of suitable silicone grease to the seals, then check for leaks and correct outlet operation after reassembly.

Water dripping from the shower head or bath spout when the control is turned off can indicate a fault in the AquaDimmer cartridge's shut-off mechanism. Do not assume that changing the adapter alone will resolve this symptom; identify whether the fault is in the cartridge, waterway or seals before ordering.
