The Grohe 45869000 is a 1/2 inch concealed ceramic flow on/off cartridge used in selected GROHE thermostatic shower mixers and concealed shower valve assemblies. This GROHE spare controls the water flow and shut-off function rather than the water temperature.
A worn or damaged flow cartridge can cause poor shut-off or water continuing to drip from the shower head when the valve is turned off, where the flow headpart is the source of the fault. The 45869000 uses ceramic sealing discs and operates through a 180-degree half turn.

Before Ordering
- - Check the existing valve model and cartridge dimensions before ordering. The 45869000 is the flow-control headpart and is not the thermostatic temperature-control cartridge

Installation Notes
- - Isolate the water supplies before removing the valve controls or cartridge
- - On the Grohtherm 1000 34161 the cartridge can be removed from the flow-control side using a 17mm spanner and turning anti-clockwise
- - Apply a thin coating of suitable silicone grease to the seals before installation
- - Tighten the replacement securely without overtightening
