Hansgrohe 94142000 is a DN15, 1/2 inch spindle shut-off cartridge for the water-flow controls in selected Hansgrohe showers, taps and concealed valve assemblies. Applications include the Ecostat 2001, Duo Plus, Duo Classic and the specific AXOR and Pharo models listed below.
The spindle-operated unit opens and closes the water supply through the relevant control. In a thermostatic shower or bath/shower mixer, it performs a different job from the temperature-control cartridge: 94142000 controls flow rather than blending hot and cold water or maintaining the selected temperature.

For a concealed installation, identify the basic set behind the trim rather than relying on the visible handle or range name. Compare the existing cartridge and spindle connection with the product photographs; nominal size alone does not establish fit.
Logis Classic 71272000 requires particular care: 94142000 is specified for July to December 2014. The January 2015 to December 2020 version specifies 94009000 instead. Do not treat these codes as interchangeable or select this part solely because the mixer carries the 71272000 model number.

A common symptom of a shut-off fault is water continuing to drip from the shower head or tap spout after the flow control has been turned off. A worn or contaminated shut-off unit is one possible cause; inspect the valve before replacing parts. Temperature instability alone does not identify a fault in 94142000.
Isolate the water supplies before dismantling the control and follow the servicing instructions for the exact model. For steam-shower assemblies, isolate electrical power as well and use a suitably qualified installer. Inspect the seating surfaces and surrounding seals, remove loose debris, and check for leaks and correct shut-off operation after reassembly. Do not force a stiff handle closed.
The following items are separate servicing products and components for the assemblies identified above. Select them according to the exact model and fault; they are not a universal repair kit or a list of parts supplied with 94142000.
