Grohe 47092000 is a chrome flow control handle used to operate the shut-off and water-flow function on selected Grohtherm 1000 and Grohtherm Auto 1000 thermostatic shower and bath/shower mixer valves. It operates the flow side of the valve rather than the temperature-control side and is supplied with the white internal hub and fixing screw.
The handle connects to the valve's flow-control mechanism, allowing the water supply to be opened and closed. A damaged, cracked, loose or missing handle can prevent reliable operation of the flow control. Where water continues to drip from the shower head or bath spout after the valve has been turned off, the underlying flow cartridge or ceramic headpart should also be checked, as different Grohtherm 1000 valve versions use different flow-control internals.
This Grohe spare part is particularly useful when servicing older Grohtherm installations where the original control handle has become worn or damaged. GROHE documentation also identifies 47092000 as an alternative to certain earlier discontinued handle designs, although the replacement specification and appearance can differ from the original.

Check the exact GROHE valve model before selecting associated Grohe spare parts. The confirmed valve families do not all use the same flow cartridge. Several exposed Grohtherm 1000 mixers use 45346000, while older concealed systems use 45869000 and GROHE 34313 and 34314 use 45648000. The 47282000 thermostatic cartridge is specifically intended for reverse hot and cold supply installations and should not be selected as the standard thermostatic element.
