The Hansgrohe 96737000 is an internal non-return valve and backflow-preventer cartridge used in selected Hansgrohe thermostatic mixers, showerpipes, bath mixers and kitchen mixers. It is also described in Hansgrohe technical information as a check valve with the designation NV15 / DN15.

The valve allows water to pass in the intended direction while helping to prevent reverse flow and crossflow between the hot and cold supplies. A worn, contaminated or obstructed valve can contribute to hot and cold water crossing between supplies or reduced water flow through the fitting.
