Grohe 47282000 is a 1/2 inch thermostatic thermoelement cartridge for reverse-waterway installations in selected Automatic 2000, Grohtherm, Grohmaster, Chiara, Sentosa, Ergomix, Europlus and Tenso valves. This reverse-supply cartridge is intended for installations where the hot water supply enters on the right and the cold water supply enters on the left.
The internal wax element responds to changes in the incoming water temperatures and adjusts the mixed-water temperature through the thermostatic valve. A worn or sticking thermoelement can cause poor temperature adjustment, unstable outlet temperature or difficulty reaching the required temperature. Before replacing the cartridge, confirm that the valve genuinely has reversed hot and cold supplies.
This is the reverse-waterway 47282000 cartridge and should not be confused with the standard-supply 47450000 thermoelement or the separate older 47280 code. No verified supersession was found for 47282000.

Check the exact valve model and confirm the inlet arrangement before ordering. This cartridge is specifically for reversed waterways, with hot on the right and cold on the left. Valves with conventional hot-left and cold-right supplies can use a different thermoelement. Because flow-control cartridges, handles and other Grohe spare parts vary between models and generations, select additional valve components against the exact valve spares page.
When installing the cartridge, isolate the water supplies before dismantling the valve, lightly lubricate the O-rings with suitable silicone grease and check the temperature calibration after reassembly. Removal method and access can vary between valve models.
