The Hansgrohe 14096000 is a push-fit lever cartridge assembly for 38-degree Hansgrohe bath and shower mixers. It is used in selected Hansgrohe single lever thermostatic mixer ranges including Axor, ibox, Metris, Metropol and Mondial.
This cartridge helps restore controlled lever operation in the mixer and is supplied with a tool for undoing the retaining ring, nut and cartridge collar during removal. Before fitting, isolate the hot and cold water supplies completely and apply suitable silicone grease to the new cartridge O-rings before inserting it into the valve seat.

Fitting Notes
- - For Hansgrohe Axor mixers, remove the screw cover and screw, lift off the lever handle, pull out the protective shroud, turn the retaining ring anticlockwise to remove the escutcheon, then use the supplied tool to undo the nut and extract the cartridge.
- - For Hansgrohe Metropol mixers, remove the screw cover and grub screw, lift off the lever handle, remove the parts below the handle, use the supplied tool for collar removal, then extract the cartridge.
- - A worn cartridge can cause stiff lever movement, poor flow or temperature control, or leakage around the cartridge area. Check the mixer model and existing cartridge code before ordering.
