Grohe 48359000 is a SmartControl concealed flow control cartridge used behind the push-turn outlet controls on GROHE SmartControl and Grohtherm SmartControl concealed shower assemblies. This Grohe spare part provides the internal flow shut-off and water-volume control function when the SmartControl button is pressed and turned.
This cartridge is separate from the thermostatic temperature-control cartridge used in applicable Grohtherm SmartControl installations. It is also separate from GROHE spindle 49088000, which is listed as the associated spindle beneath the 48359000 cartridge in SmartControl spare-parts assemblies.
A worn or damaged flow-control cartridge can contribute to poor shut-off, stiff or inconsistent control, or water continuing to drip from a shower outlet after the control has been switched off. Check the existing cartridge code and the exact shower valve model before ordering because SmartControl assemblies can contain several different cartridge types.
