The Hansgrohe 96633000 is a T42 (BTC) thermostatic cartridge for selected Hansgrohe and AXOR thermostatic shower and bath/shower mixer valves including Axor, Ecostat, Ecomax and PuraVida valve systems. It is the temperature control cartridge inside the valve and is used to regulate the mixed water temperature.
The cartridge is a screw-fit brass thermostatic assembly. To remove the old cartridge from the valve body, turn it anti-clockwise. To install the replacement cartridge, screw it in clockwise. The cartridge uses a Vernet France Wax Element 0204 and some valve setups use the Hansgrohe 97108000 extension or spline adapter with the handle assembly.
