Function and Checking Notes

This is a trim component rather than a thermostatic cartridge. It does not control temperature, flow or water shut-off. If the shower is difficult to regulate, runs too hot or cold, or will not stabilise, check the relevant thermostatic cartridge as well as the trim parts.

For valves that also use separate flow or diverter cartridges, water dripping from the shower head or spout when the shower is turned off can point to a worn flow or diverter cartridge rather than the chrome collar.
