The Hansgrohe 98158000 is an individual 39x2mm O-ring used at model-specific sealing points within selected Hansgrohe and AXOR kitchen mixers, concealed wall-mounted basin mixers, bath mixers and concealed thermostatic controls.
It seals the joint shown in the relevant exploded diagram. A flattened, split or damaged ring can allow water to pass the joint, and replacing the seal can restore the intended watertight connection when the model and installation position are correctly identified.

Installation Note
Isolate the water supply before dismantling the product. Clean the O-ring groove, avoid twisting or pinching the new seal and apply a light film of suitable silicone grease to help it seat correctly.
