The GROHE 47923000 is a chrome shut-off and flow-control handle for selected Grohtherm 2000 thermostatic bath/shower mixers. It is the external operating control for the Aquadimmer mechanism, not the temperature-control handle or an internal cartridge.

The paddle-shaped handle operates water shut-off, flow adjustment and selection between the bath and shower outlets. When correctly fitted, the central position is off, turning anti-clockwise opens the bath spout, and turning clockwise opens the shower outlet.

Checking a Flow-Control Fault

- - Symptom: Water continues to drip from the bath spout or shower head after the flow control has been turned off

- - Likely cause: Wear or damage to the internal Aquadimmer, its O-ring or the associated adapter and seals

- - Solution: Check the internal flow-control components before choosing repair parts; changing the external handle alone will not correct an internal sealing fault

Installation Note

Isolate both hot and cold water supplies before dismantling the mixer, and follow the instructions for the exact model. Keep the handle and Aquadimmer components correctly aligned when refitting, then check the central shut-off position and operation of both outlets.
