GROHE 47916000 Grohtherm 2000 Aqua Paddle Shower Flow Control Handle Chrome
The GROHE 47916000 is a chrome Aqua Paddle shut-off and flow-control handle for selected Grohtherm 2000 exposed thermostatic shower mixers. It is the external operating control for shower water flow, not the temperature-control handle, an internal cartridge or a complete mixer.
Turning the handle operates the separate ceramic headpart to start, stop and adjust the water flow. The economy button allows the flow stop to be overridden for a higher flow rate. This is a flow-control function, separate from the temperature safety stop on the opposite control.

Before You Order
Check the exact mixer model, existing handle and fixing arrangement before ordering. Grohtherm 2000 includes different generations and control designs, so the range name or appearance alone does not identify the correct part. Several models using 47916000 have different temperature handles and thermostatic cartridges.
Check whether the repair concerns the external handle, its cover cap or the internal flow-control valve. Do not assume that separately listed cartridges, seals or other service components are included with the handle.
Related Spares You May Need
These are separate mixer components and servicing items. Select them according to the exact mixer model and the fault being repaired; the thermostatic cartridges listed below are not interchangeable options for every model.
- - GROHE 45346000 1/2 Inch Ceramic Flow-Control Cartridge - internal on/off valve operated by the flow-control handle

- - GROHE 47917000 Temperature-Control Handle - temperature-side control for models such as 34169001; not the temperature handle specified for 34446001 or 34463001
- - GROHE 47743000 Retaining Ring - retaining component for the thermostatic cartridge
- - GROHE 47439000 Compact Thermostatic Cartridge - temperature-regulating cartridge used in models including 34169001 and 34195001

- - GROHE 08565000 Non-Return Valve - inlet check valve for the listed mixer assemblies
- - GROHE 47175000 Reversed-Supply Thermostatic Cartridge - optional service part for specified hot-right and cold-left installations; the CoolTouch function is not retained in this configuration
- - GROHE 19332000 34mm Socket Box Spanner - service tool for the thermostatic-cartridge retaining assembly, not a requirement for changing the external handle alone
Fault Checking and Fitting
If water continues dripping from the shower head after the shower is turned off, the internal flow-control cartridge may need attention. A new external handle alone will not repair a worn internal valve seal. Check the handle fixing and engagement with the valve before deciding which component needs replacing.
Follow the instructions for the exact mixer when refitting and aligning the handle with the economy stop. Isolate the water supplies before removing any internal valve components.
