Hansgrohe 94283000 Thermostatic Cartridge for Ecostat 5001 Shower Valves. Also known as Hansgrohe 94283 or 94 283.
The Hansgrohe 94283000 is a thermostatic cartridge for selected Hansgrohe Ecostat 5001 exposed thermostatic shower and bath/shower mixer valves. It is the temperature control cartridge used in the early Ecostat 5001 valve assemblies where the spare parts diagram specifies Hansgrohe 94283000.
This cartridge is also known as Hansgrohe 94283 and 94 283. It controls the mixed water temperature inside the thermostatic valve body and should be checked when the shower temperature becomes unstable, difficult to regulate, too hot, too cold, or no longer responds correctly to the temperature handle.

Before You Order
Check the valve model code and production date range before ordering. Later Ecostat 5001 versions use a different thermostatic cartridge, so do not select this part for a later valve unless the spare parts diagram or existing cartridge code confirms 94283000.
Installation Note
Isolate the hot and cold water supplies before removing the old cartridge. Lightly lubricate the cartridge O-rings with a suitable silicone grease during fitting and make sure the cartridge is seated correctly in the valve body before refitting the handle and temperature stop components.
Troubleshooting
- - Symptom: water temperature fluctuates during use
- - Likely Cause: worn or scaled thermostatic cartridge or inlet check components
- - Solution: check the cartridge, filters and non-return valves against the valve diagram before replacing parts
- - Symptom: temperature handle turns but the outlet temperature does not change correctly
- - Likely Cause: failed thermostat control section or incorrect temperature stop setup
- - Solution: inspect the cartridge and recalibrate the temperature handle after fitting
