Confirm that the existing cartridge is Grohe 47658000 and that the valve has reverse hot and cold supplies. Do not select this cartridge from the 3/4 inch designation alone, as Grohe also uses different thermostatic cartridges for standard-supply and other reverse-supply valve applications. Fitting Note
Isolate both hot and cold water supplies before removing the existing cartridge. Grohe service information for the documented Atrio installation specifies a 22mm open-ended spanner for removal of the thermoelement. Clean the cartridge chamber and lightly lubricate the cartridge O-rings with suitable silicone grease before installation. Where the valve uses a 38°C temperature setting, check and recalibrate the temperature control after servicing.
