A worn diverter assembly can cause poor outlet selection or water passing from the shower head or spout when the shower or bath mixer is turned off. If the handle turns but does not control the outlet correctly check the VR1400 diverter VR2205 threaded collar and VR2213 spindle as well as the handle.
