Ideal Standard S8739NU Pair of Hot and Cold Flow Cartridges (On/Off Cartridge). This is for the original black plastic version of the cartridge that you see in the photo.

These are NOT the cartridges that are used in Trevi shower valves. These cartridges are used in taps.

IMPORTANT - Please Read If you need the cartridge which is used in Trevi Therm valves, please note that most Trevi Therm valves use TWO of the Trevi A952501NU11 cartridges.

Colours: Ideal Standard manufacture the plastic body in both black and white. The colour of the body has no meaning. The metal part of the cartridge is brass and the top may have blue on it.

Before Ordering and Fitting

Check the tap model, cartridge construction, spindle profile, sealing arrangement and opening direction against the parts being removed. Plastic bodies were manufactured in both black and white, so body colour alone does not identify the cartridge. Dimensions are identification checks, not proof of fitment.

Isolate both water supplies before removing the cartridges. Inspect the handle carriers and retaining screws for damage, and follow the tap manufacturer's fitting instructions. Apply suitable cartridge silicone grease to the O-rings and bottom seals during installation.
