Bristan 00622130 brass screw-in flow-control cartridge for selected Bristan Prism, 1901, Chill, Nero and Qube thermostatic shower valves. This is the cold/right-hand version with clockwise shut-off and a 20-spline spindle.

The quarter-turn ceramic-disc mechanism controls water flow and closes the waterway when the flow handle is turned off. This is a flow-control cartridge, not the separate thermostatic cartridge that regulates the shower temperature.

Technical Details

Before Ordering

Check the exact shower model and valve version, then compare the removed cartridge's overall length, threaded sections, spindle, spline count and closing direction. Bristan used different cartridges across different generations of the same shower ranges, so the range name, thread size or seal colour alone is not enough to identify the correct part.

Take particular care with Prism PM TSHCVO C and 1901 concealed dual-control valves because these model names cover different flow-cartridge versions. The model entries below apply to the versions fitted with 00622130. Do not confuse this clockwise-closing cartridge with the opposite-closing 00622131.

Common Failure Symptoms

A worn or damaged flow cartridge can allow water to continue dripping from the shower head after the shower is turned off. Other possible symptoms include stiff operation or difficulty shutting the flow off fully. Continued dripping after residual water has drained can indicate a shut-off problem, but the cartridge and its seating should be checked before deciding which part to replace.
