GROHE 47767000 is a complete screw-in thermostatic control-unit cartridge for selected Avensys Modern and Precision Classic dual-control shower mixers. The assembly includes the brass control-unit housing with its plastic slider piston and wax thermostat element.
The wax thermostat responds to changes in mixed-water temperature while the slider piston regulates the hot and cold water blend. Replacing a worn control unit can restore more stable temperature regulation where the shower has developed temperature drift or a slow response to control adjustments.

Apply suitable valve grease during reassembly and recalibrate the outlet temperature after servicing; the documented factory setting is 43 degrees C.
