The Ideal Standard Trevi A952538NU11 is a genuine thermostatic cartridge for Idealux 712 exposed, Idealux 715 built-in and Trevi Lux built-in thermostatic shower mixer valves. It is the internal temperature-control cartridge, not a complete shower valve.

The cartridge regulates the mixture of hot and cold water to control the shower outlet temperature. Replacing a faulty cartridge can restore temperature adjustment while retaining the existing mixer body and external controls.

Idealux 712 identifies the exposed shower mixer; Idealux 715 identifies the built-in version. Diameter alone is not sufficient to establish the correct cartridge.

Temperature Problems

Symptom: the shower temperature fluctuates, responds poorly to adjustment or remains too cool despite an adequate hot-water supply. Likely Cause: wear or limescale affecting the thermostatic mechanism, although restricted filters or a supply problem can produce similar symptoms. Solution: check both water supplies and inspect the filters before replacing the cartridge where a cartridge fault has been established.

Installation Notes
