The SK1400-1 is a TS1400 thermostatic cartridge seal kit for servicing Sirrus Bristan and Gummers 1400 Series thermostatic shower valves. It is used to renew worn seals within the applicable valve and cartridge assemblies without replacing the complete thermostatic cartridge where the remaining components are serviceable.
Worn seals can contribute to a valve failing to shut off fully or water leaking from the valve body. If the main fault is poor temperature regulation rather than leakage, the thermostat and piston should also be checked as these are separate service components.
