The Grohe 45342000 is a 1/2 inch ceramic flow cartridge used as a cold-side flow control headpart in selected Grohe taps and concealed valves. It uses ceramic sealing discs and provides half-turn operation for controlling and shutting off the water flow.

The cartridge has a left-hand stop and operates through 180 degrees. In its cold-side application, the control closes anti-clockwise. A worn flow cartridge can cause stiff operation, incomplete shut-off, or water continuing to drip from the tap spout or shower outlet after the control has been turned off.
