Fixing a Bristan Echo tap is straightforward and simple. As always, the first step to tap – hot side – repair is to isolate hot water supply prior to starting. Set a stopper on your drain to block parts from rolling in it. Remove the hot indicator using a blunt and flat tool. Loosen the screw with a small screwdriver to separate the handle from the tap. Use an appropriate size spanner to release the threads of the screw-in cartridge. Apply plumbing grease on the Bristan Echo replacement cartridge O-ring. Position it in the valve housing and tighten the threads. Return the lever handle and screw. Snap the hot indicator button in.Is it Time to Replace the Bristan Echo Tap Cartridge?

Below are three of the frequent troubles usually encountered. Leaking Kitchen Tap Continuous dripping or water seeping from the tap valve may be the result of either a worn-out O-ring or a broken cartridge tap gland. Find out where the leak is originating. Check the seals, O-rings, and the Bristan Echo cartridge for any sign of damage. Too high water pressure can also result in a leaking tap. Reduce the pressure to stop the leakage. Insufficient or No Water Flow There are a number of possible causes that bring about water flow problems: – The isolation valves might not be open or it may be partly closed. – Low water pressure. – Clogged water supply lines, aerator, or the Bristan Echo tap cartridge. To remedy the situation, check if the isolation valve is open. Check water pressure using a water pressure gauge. If the pressure is low increase it. Clogged supply pipes will call for flushing the pipework to clear any form of debris. A clogged cartridge needs to be replaced.
