Important Information Before Ordering

Hudson Reed and Ultra have supplied different generations of this thermostatic cartridge. The cartridge version must therefore be confirmed before ordering. Do not rely on the A3318 reference or visual appearance alone, as the internal construction, dimensions and connection arrangements may differ between versions.

Where possible, remove the existing cartridge after isolating the hot and cold water supplies. Check its overall length, body diameter, spindle dimensions, spline count, seal positions and fixing arrangement. Confirm the exact shower valve model where available. If the cartridge cannot be removed, photographs of the exposed cartridge and temperature-control handle connection may help with identification.

Common Thermostatic Cartridge Problems

Symptom: The shower temperature fluctuates unexpectedly.
