This is the chrome version of the SK-1500-7CP. This includes the wax thermostat which most other sellers don't include. The wax thermostat is the heart of the thermostatic cartridge and controls the mixing of the hot and cold water.

Sirrus SK1500-7CP is a chrome antique thermostatic cartridge assembly for temperature control in selected Sirrus, Bristan, Heritage, Trevi and NewTeam thermostatic shower valves. This assembly includes the wax thermostat element, which controls the mixing of hot and cold water inside the shower valve.
The cartridge is used when the shower is no longer regulating temperature correctly, runs too hot or cold, becomes difficult to calibrate or has worn internal seals. Check the part code, spline count and valve model before ordering, especially where a previous cartridge has already been removed.
