Grohe 47080000 Pressure Balance Cartridge for Grohsafe and Grohmaster Valves (47 080 000 / 47.080.000) - Compatible Replacement
Grohe 47080000 pressure balance valve cartridge compatible replacement for selected legacy Grohsafe and Grohmaster shower valves. Also referenced as 47 080 000 and 47.080.000, this cartridge controls the pressure-balancing function inside the valve and is supplied as a replacement cartridge assembly.
The pressure-balancing mechanism responds to changes in the hot and cold water supplies to help maintain stable mixed-water conditions. On the verified legacy valve systems, the mechanism is designed to shut down the mixed flow if one supply suffers a complete loss of pressure.

Before Ordering
- - Check the cartridge code, overall dimensions and spline against the removed cartridge before ordering
- - Do not identify this cartridge by dimensions alone, as different Grohsafe and Grohmaster valve generations use different cartridge designs
- - This cartridge should not be assumed to fit every GROHE Grohsafe or Grohmaster shower valve
Installation Note
Apply suitable silicone grease to the cartridge O-rings and seals during installation to reduce friction and help the cartridge seat correctly. On the verified legacy valves, the normal supply arrangement is hot on the left and cold on the right. The cartridge can be rotated through 180 degrees where the supplies are reversed, and its locating points must be correctly seated during reassembly.
Troubleshooting
- - Symptom: water continues to drip from the shower head after the valve is turned off - Likely Cause: cartridge inlet O-ring sealing problem or stop-ring adjustment leaving the cartridge slightly open - Solution: inspect the cartridge seals and stop-ring adjustment and replace worn or damaged components as required
- - Symptom: no hot or cold water flow - Likely Cause: debris or restriction at the corresponding valve inlet - Solution: inspect and clean the relevant inlet before replacing components unnecessarily
