Grohe 47025000 is a 3/4-inch wax thermostatic cartridge used to regulate mixed-water temperature in selected Grohmix thermostatic shower and bath mixer valves. The thermo-element responds to changes in the hot and cold water supplies to maintain the selected outlet temperature.

This is the standard non-splined Grohmix cartridge configuration. Before ordering, compare the existing cartridge carefully, as Grohe also produced different Grohmix thermo-elements for other valve configurations, including splined and reverse-supply versions.

Function and Fault Diagnosis

A worn or faulty thermostatic cartridge can cause unstable mixed-water temperature, temperature drift, difficulty reaching the selected temperature, restricted temperature adjustment or slow response to changing water conditions. Dripping from the shower head when the valve is switched off is not normally a primary indication of failure of this thermo-element, because the cartridge regulates temperature rather than providing the main flow shut-off function.
