Grohe 47011000 Grohmix Reverse Supply 1/2 Inch Thermostatic Cartridge
Grohe 47011000 is a 1/2 inch reverse-supply thermostatic cartridge and bi-metal thermoelement for specified older Grohmix thermostatic shower and bath/shower mixers. It is intended for the reversed inlet arrangement where the hot-water supply enters on the right.
The 47011000 forms the thermostatic temperature-control element inside the mixer. It reacts to changes in the incoming hot and cold water supplies and adjusts the blend to maintain the selected mixed-water temperature. A worn, scaled or sticking thermoelement can cause unstable temperature control, restricted adjustment or water that remains consistently too hot or too cold.

Confirm the exact Grohmix valve model, manufacturing period and inlet orientation before ordering. Do not identify this cartridge from its 1/2 inch size alone, as GROHE used different Grohmix thermoelements for different valve generations and supply arrangements. The later reverse-supply 47016000 thermoelement should not be treated as a substitute for 47011000 without specific valve evidence.
Isolate the water supplies before removing the existing thermoelement. Clean the internal running surface of the mixer before refitting and apply a light coating of suitable silicone grease to the cartridge O-ring to help the seal seat correctly without twisting or damage.
For certain earlier pre-1972 Grohmix installations, GROHE servicing information also specifies changing the 07 653 stop ring and 06 880 graduated temperature handle when dealing with the older reverse-graduation arrangement. These additional parts should only be selected where the existing valve matches that specific early configuration.
