Ideal Standard A963003NU 1/2" On/Off Quarter Turn Flow Cartridge (Clockwise Close).
NOTE: The new brass version of this cartridge will be sent. The screw in the top is no longer supplied with the cartridge.
The A963003NU cartridge is used in the following models:
Ideal Standard A963003NU is a 1/2-inch quarter-turn ceramic-disc flow cartridge for selected taps, mixers and separate shower flow controls. Also described as a tap headwork, it screws into the fitting and operates through the existing handle arrangement. The brass version of the cartridge is supplied.
The ceramic-disc mechanism opens and closes the water supply as the handle turns. This is an on/off flow-control component, not a thermostatic temperature-control cartridge or a bath/shower diverter. Persistent dripping from the spout or shower head after the control has been turned off can indicate a worn flow cartridge, although debris or damaged sealing surfaces can also cause leakage.

A 963 003 NU is the manufacturer's spaced format of A963003NU, not a different cartridge. Handle adaptors and fixing arrangements vary between fittings, so retain the original components where they are serviceable and correct for the installation.
The applications below cover the specified versions using A963003NU. Check the existing headwork and the fitting's production version before ordering, as a model name alone does not identify every cartridge revision.
Match the original part number, required closing direction, spindle arrangement and handle adaptor. Do not select the cartridge by its 1/2-inch size or the handle colour alone. Its hot or cold position depends on the fitting. Later Connect Air A7031AA taps produced from November 2019 specify a different headwork, so the earlier application must not be extended to those taps.
These parts are supplied separately and are application-specific. Check the exact tap or valve before ordering an adaptor, handle or diverter; they are not required for every A963003NU installation.
Isolate the water supplies before removing the existing cartridge. Check the cartridge seating area, seals, handle adaptor and fixing screw, and follow the servicing instructions for the exact fitting. After installation, restore the supplies and check that the control operates correctly and shuts off without leakage.
