Frequently Asked Questions: IB Rubinetterie Flow Cartridge (On/Off)
Question: How do I know if the leak is coming from the flow or temperature cartridge?
Answer: There are different ways to figure out where the leak is. One of the easiest ways to spot it is to check if the leak is coming from the on/off control handle or the temperature control handle.
Is the IB Rubinetterie shower dripping from the flow control handle? It might be a sign the cartridge needs to be replaced. For the said shower models above, this long-stemmed IB Rubinetterie flow cartridge is the replacement part that can solve such issues.
Question: My shower is an IB Rubinetterie Euphoria. How do I open the valve to access the flow cartridge?
Answer: Remove all of the handles. (The handle removal will depend on which design you have.) Then slip the wallplate out to access the flow cartridge.
And before you set the replacement IB Rubinetterie flow cartridge in the shower valve, put a small amount of plumbing grease on the cartridge O-ring. This will help the new spare part with pressure and wear and tear.
Question: What are the factors that negatively affect the shower and its parts like cartridges?
Answer: Here are some of the factors that can have an adverse impact on the shower valve:
- Too strong water pressure can wear down the rubber components of the shower.
- Water quality affects the shower, especially the cartridges.
