The Hansgrohe 98302000 is a ceramic shut-off cartridge for selected AXOR Starck Organic basin mixers, pillar taps and bidet mixers. It fits within the spout-mounted volume-control assembly and operates the water flow and shut-off function.
On two-handle mixers, this cartridge controls the water volume separately from the temperature-control cartridge. It is not a thermostatic cartridge. Persistent dripping from the spout when the tap is turned off can indicate a worn shut-off cartridge, although the fault should be checked before replacing the part.

Before Ordering and Fitting
Do not confuse 98302000 with 98301000. These are different shut-off cartridges specified for different AXOR Starck Organic tap models; select the cartridge by the exact tap article number rather than appearance alone.
Isolate the water supply before dismantling the tap. The fitting procedure differs for cartridge versions before and after 12/04/2021. For the later version, retain the separate ring from the old cartridge and transfer it to the new cartridge. Follow the replacement instructions for the version fitted to your tap.
