GROHE 45883000 1/2" Ceramic Headpart Flow Cartridge - Clockwise Open

GROHE 45883000 is a 1/2" ceramic headpart flow cartridge used for on/off water-flow control in selected GROHE two-handle basin taps, bath mixers, shower mixers, kitchen sink mixers and concealed basin mixer bodies. It operates clockwise to open and anti-clockwise to close.

The headpart uses ceramic sealing discs and a 90-degree quarter-turn movement with a left-hand stop. A worn ceramic headpart can cause water to continue dripping from the tap spout or shower outlet after the control is turned off, prevent complete shut-off or make the control stiff to operate.

Technical Details

Before Ordering

Check the exact GROHE product code and the handedness and operating direction of the existing headpart before ordering. The 1/2" connection size alone is not sufficient to confirm fitment. GROHE 45882000 is the opposite-hand headpart and should not be assumed to be interchangeable with 45883000 in the same control position.

Installation Note

Isolate the water supply before removing the existing headpart. A light application of suitable silicone grease to the cartridge O-ring can assist installation and protect the seal. Avoid excessive force when tightening the replacement headpart.
