This 1/2-inch ceramic disc flow cartridge is for the Roca Loft Elite concealed basin mixer using part A505122503, also shown as 505122503. It is an individual tap headwork, rather than a complete mixer or thermostatic temperature-control cartridge.
The cartridge operates behind the tap handle to open, regulate and shut off one water supply through a quarter-turn movement. A worn or damaged flow cartridge can allow water to continue dripping from the spout when the tap is turned off.
| Part reference | A505122503 |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer's alternative code format | 505122503 |
| Component type | Ceramic disc flow-control headwork |
| Nominal size | 1/2 inch |
| Operating movement | 90 degrees, quarter-turn |
| Waterway configuration | Single-way |
In this later assembly, 505122503 is used at the cold-water control position. The opposite-side headwork is the separate reference 505122603.
Check the exact mixer model, production version and original cartridge reference. Earlier assemblies used 505121103 at this position, so do not assume that A505122503 can be fitted to an earlier mixer without further identification. A505122603 / 505122603 is a distinct part, not an alternative code for this cartridge.
Compare the original cartridge's body, spindle and handle connection with the product photographs. Do not select the part from the Loft Elite range name or 1/2-inch nominal size alone, as other Loft Elite taps use different headworks.
Persistent dripping from the spout after both controls are closed can indicate a cartridge that is no longer sealing correctly. Identify which control is passing water before replacing the headwork. Isolate the water supplies before removal and follow the fitting instructions for the mixer.
