NOTE: This is a quarter turn cartridge. The plastic version is now discontinued, you will receive the fully brass version.

The Ideal Standard Trevi A963033NU is a hot ceramic-disc flow-control cartridge for selected basin taps, bidet mixers, bath/shower mixers and shower valves. The brass version replaces the former plastic design under the same A963033NU part code.

This quarter-turn cartridge controls water flow and shut-off. It is not a thermostatic temperature-control cartridge; in the listed thermostatic shower assemblies, flow control and temperature regulation use separate components.

Before Ordering

Check the original cartridge reference, exact tap or shower model and model generation. Compare the spindle, handle connection, cartridge seating and seals with the removed part. The supplied brass cartridge may look different from the earlier plastic version, but the change in construction retains the A963033NU code. Do not select a cartridge from its nominal size alone.

Troubleshooting

Symptom: water continues to drip from the shower head or spout when the shower or tap is turned off. Likely Cause: wear or debris affecting the flow cartridge or its sealing surfaces. Solution: inspect the shut-off cartridge and seals, then replace the identified faulty component. Temperature instability alone does not establish that this flow cartridge needs replacing.

Installation

Isolate the water supplies before dismantling the fitting. Follow the instructions for the exact model, inspect the handle carrier and seals during removal, and check for leaks and correct shut-off after reassembly.
