A962336NU Ideal Standard / Trevi 1/2" Ceramic Disk Cartridge - Cold Clockwise Close
Ideal Standard / Trevi A962336NU is a 1/2" ceramic disc flow-control cartridge used in selected basin mixers, bath/shower mixers and thermostatic shower valves. It serves as the cold-water headwork in the Melange and Jado dual-control mixers listed below and as a separate flow-control headwork in the specified thermostatic mixers.
The cartridge sits beneath the operating handle and controls water flow and shut-off. In thermostatic mixer applications, it operates separately from the temperature-control cartridge; A962336NU is not a thermostatic cartridge and does not itself regulate the mixed-water temperature.

Check the exact mixer model and the part code specified for the control you are repairing. Compare the original cartridge's closing direction, spindle profile, handle connection, thread and sealing arrangement. The 1/2" fitting size and measurements are identification checks, not sufficient proof of fitment on their own. Confirm the required control position rather than assuming that the hot and cold headworks are the same.
Symptom: Water continues dripping from the tap spout or shower outlet after the control is turned off and residual water has drained. Likely Cause: The flow cartridge may not be sealing correctly because of wear, damage or debris. Solution: Check the flow-control headwork and its seating area, then replace the cartridge where a fault is confirmed. Temperature-control problems on a thermostatic mixer require separate checks of the thermostatic cartridge and water supplies.
Isolate the water supplies before dismantling the control and follow the servicing instructions for your exact mixer. Inspect the handle connection and seals while the assembly is accessible, then check shut-off operation and inspect for leaks after reassembly.
These are separate service parts for particular mixer assemblies listed above. Select each item by the exact mixer model and the component being serviced; not every item is used in every model.
