The Ideal Standard A960938NU is the red hot-side on/off flow cartridge for selected Dualux taps and shower mixers. It is the internal cartridge used to control the hot-water supply, rather than a complete tap, shower mixer or handle assembly.

The cartridge operates beneath the hot-water control handle to open, regulate and shut off the hot-water flow. It is used in the Dualux basin, bidet, bath/shower, shower and kitchen fittings listed below.

Before Ordering

Check the exact Dualux model and the cartridge fitted beneath the hot-water handle before ordering. The Dualux name and G1/2 size designation alone are not sufficient to identify the correct cartridge. A 960 938 NU is the manufacturer's spaced format of A960938NU, not a different part number.

Fault Symptoms and Fitting

Water continuing to drip from the tap spout or shower head after the controls have been turned off can indicate a worn or damaged flow cartridge. Replacing the cartridge can restore shut-off when the cartridge itself is the cause of the leak.

Isolate the hot and cold water supplies before removing the handle or cartridge. Follow the fitting manufacturer's servicing instructions, clean the cartridge seating area and check the surrounding seals for damage. Apply suitable cartridge silicone grease sparingly to the O-rings and bottom seal during fitting.
