– This is the process for Abode Genio tap cartridge replacement.
1. Turn off the water supply.

2. With the handle in the “off” position, use a 2.5mm Allen key to loosen the grub screw. The grub screw is under the handle. Pull the handle to remove.

3. Unscrew the cartridge cover/bush with a screwdriver. Pull the cover away to remove.

4. Use a 12mm spanner to unscrew the faulty Abode Genio tap cartridge. Remove it from the tap seat.

5. Insert the compatible cartridge for the Abode Genio tap. Screw it in using the spanner till hand-tight. Do not overtighten.

6. Return the cartridge cover/bush and its screw.

7. Push the handle against the cartridge cover. It should be in the “off” position. Secure the handle in place with the grub screw. Tighten but do not overtighten.

8. Open water supply and check if the cartridge installation is successful.
