Answer: No, the Grohe 12433000 is for flow control. The shower spare you need is part number 47439000 which is for the temperature side of the Grohe bar shower.

Answer: The flow control handle must be removed followed by the parts under it to access the cartridge.
Removing the handle is different for each shower model. For example, in the Grohtherm 2000 (34174) the rectangular cover cap has to be removed to be able to access the screw that keeps the handle in place.
Before installing the Grohe 12433000, the O-ring of the cartridge has to be greased with plumbing lubricant. This will seal the cartridge with the valve properly. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see our selection of silicone grease.
