To unscrew this cartridge you'll need to turn it anti-clockwise.

NOTE: The original version of the cartridge is now discontinued. You will receive the latest version of the cartridge which should fit as expected and is entirely backwards compatible.

Most shower water temperature problems that occur can trace their cause back to the thermostatic cartridge and replacing the cartridge should fix any issues you've been having.

SPS 034 is a Type 8 thermo core. Measuring 9.2 centimeters, it has three external o-rings and a thermostatic element. Two gauzings practically filter sand and grit from inbound hot and cold water.

Valves are devised differently. Design varies in form and size. Earlier models deviate from the new. Though it is considered a “universal” cartridge and fits steam shower brands stated above, including those of Chinese origin, it is still recommended to access the old cartridge just to be certain the right replacement part will be selected.

Extracting a Type 8 Thermostatic Cartridge
Water lines leading to a steam shower cabin must be shut off ahead of a cartridge replacement attempt.

1.Take the temperature control dial the cap off.
2.With a single turn of a 2.5mm Allen key, loosen the grub screw to pull the dial out.
3.With a pen and paper or with a snapshot, record the position of the temperature lock before removing it.

4.Threads can be found on the upper part of a Type 8 thermostatic cartridge making it a screw fit cartridge. Use a spanner to extract the cartridge out of the valve seat.
5.Apply the appropriate silicone lubricant on the new Type 8 cartridge and screw it in the valve housing tightly.

6.Return the temperature lock in accordance with its original position.
7.Reassemble the dial and the cap. Then turn water supplies on.
