Fitting and Servicing Notes

Before removing the cartridge isolate the hot and cold supplies. The CB10010CP service instructions show the temperature handle components being removed before the thermostatic cartridge is unscrewed with a spanner. After fitting the replacement cartridge the valve should be reassembled and recalibrated to the correct safe outlet temperature.

For servicing the CB10010CP valve the inlet strainers and thermostatic cartridge filter areas should be checked and cleaned. Use a suitable silicone grease on the cartridge O-rings during installation to help protect seals and ease fitting.

Common Fault Symptoms

- - Symptom: shower temperature fluctuates or will not stabilise. Likely Cause: worn scaled or restricted thermostatic cartridge. Solution: inspect clean or replace the thermostatic cartridge.
