The replacement Elite Therma Pack shower thermostatic cartridge is a non-threaded cartridge making its fitment type push-fit. It has three rubber O-rings, two steel filters and two spline tiers. The wax thermostat element protrudes at the bottom of the cartridge.

As soon as you turn the shower on, water from the mains feeds barrel through the thermostatic cartridge of the Elite Therma Pack. Inside the cartridge, the thermocore works to mix hot and cold water to the preferred temperature blend of the shower user.

– In the shower valve, a temperature stop ring sits on top of the Elite Therma Pack thermostatic cartridge. Remember the position of the “stop”. (The “stop” is the elevated portion on the face of the stop ring.) This part has to be returned in the same position when reassembling the valve.

– Lubricate the O-rings of the replacement Elite Therma Pack thermostatic cartridge. It will help the cartridge seal in the valve and it protects the O-rings from deteriorating earlier.
