The S9613NU is a 1/2 inch Mk IV rubber-valve headwork for the specified Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks taps and mixers. It is the internal valve operated by the tap handle to control and shut off the water flow.

This is a rubber-valve headwork, not a ceramic-disc or thermostatic cartridge. The same S9613NU headwork is specified for both taps in the Fairline basin and bath tap pairs listed below, so it should not be selected on the assumption that it is a cold-only valve.

Confirm the tap model and compare the original headwork with the product photographs. The nominal 1/2 inch size alone does not establish fitment. S7158AA Alterna bath taps are described as 3/4 inch taps, but their specified internal rubber-valve headwork is the 1/2 inch S9613NU.

The S7300AA and S7500AA Millenia mixers also have ceramic-disc versions, which use a different headwork. Do not assume that S9613NU and the S9614NU ceramic-disc valve are interchangeable.
