The Mira 1836.181 flow cartridge is a replacement flow control cartridge used in selected Mira thermostatic shower bar valves. This cartridge controls the on and off water flow from the flow selector side of the valve and is used where the original cartridge has become worn stiff seized or unable to shut the water off correctly.

A common symptom of a failing flow cartridge is water continuing to drip from the shower handset after the shower has been turned off once normal residual water has drained from the hose and handset. Check the cartridge code valve model and handle side before ordering because Mira Atom Coda Honesty Relate and related bar valves can use different flow cartridge codes depending on version and production type.

Installation and Ordering Notes

Isolate the hot and cold water supplies before removing the old cartridge. Compare the removed cartridge with the replacement before fitting and lightly lubricate the O-rings with WRAS approved silicone grease to help protect the seals during installation. Do not order from the diameter alone because similar Mira bar valves can use different flow cartridges.
