PR905 is the Hudson Reed flow cartridge replacement suitable for Quadro A3502 and A3503 shower bar valves. The cartridge has a brass casing and a ceramic core. Its hexagonal nut makes for an easy grip of a spanner to remove or secure it in the valve.

Why Do You Need to Replace the Hudson Reed PR905?
Limescale. These hard water dregs can accumulate in the PR905 Hudson Reed flow cartridge. It grows with time causing the Quadro shower valve to drip. It can also turn into a hindrance against optimal water flow.

PR905 has a lone O-ring. This rubber component seals water in the valve preventing it from leaking. A time-worn O-ring will harden and can become brittle losing its capability to hold water.


How to Replace the Hudson Reed PR905 Flow Cartridge in an A3502 or A3503 Quadro Shower Valve?
Close the shower’s hot and cold water supplies before starting the Hudson Reed PR905 replacement process.

1. Unscrew the A3502 or A3503 flow control handle’s peg. This can be done by hand or smooth jaw pliers. In using tools be extra careful not to mark or damage any part of the shower valve.

2. With the peg removed, use an Allen key to undo the handle’s grub screw. Separate the flow control handle from the Quadro bar valve.

3. Use an appropriately sized spanner to unscrew the broken cartridge.

4. Apply silicone grease on the O-ring of the Hudson Reed PR905. Insert it in the valve. Secure the threads.

Only use heat-resistant grease formulated for plumbing applications. Failing to do so can rapidly deteriorate the O-ring. Please jump to the last section of the page to see the plumbers grease that will aid you in shower repair.

5. Reassemble the valve handle.
