The cartridge controls water flow through the tap and closes clockwise. A common sign of cartridge failure is water dripping from the tap spout when the tap is turned off, poor shut-off or a handle that no longer controls the flow correctly.

Installation and Checking Notes

Isolate the hot and cold supplies before removing the tap handle, indice, screw and shroud. Clean the valve seating before installing the replacement cartridge, and use a suitable silicone grease on the seals where required.
