Hansgrohe 96339000 is a J27 push-fit joystick cartridge used to control water flow and temperature in selected AXOR and Hansgrohe PuraVida single-lever basin mixers, bidet mixers, bath mixers, shower mixers and kitchen mixers.

The cartridge is fitted inside the mixer body beneath the operating lever and retaining nut or ring. A worn cartridge can cause water to continue dripping from the tap spout, shower head or other outlet after the mixer has been turned off.

Technical Details

• Recorded cartridge markings can include J27 Hansgroh, PSU GF20, 19420900 and 21/3 501148.
• A silicone grease packet is supplied with the cartridge.
• Applicable PuraVida assemblies use two Hansgrohe 95169000 O-rings measuring 21.95 x 1.78 mm beneath the cartridge.
• Applicable PuraVida service procedures use a 2 mm Allen key and a 27 mm retaining-ring tool.
• The retaining ring is tightened to 10 Nm and the handle screw to 0.7 Nm on applicable PuraVida assemblies.
• AXOR Citterio installations commonly use a 3 mm Allen key and a 24 mm or 27 mm retaining tool. The required tool and dismantling procedure vary between mixer models.

Check the complete mixer article number, finish code and construction period before ordering. PuraVida and AXOR ranges were produced with different cartridge arrangements. Some low-flow or later revisions use cartridges including 92930000 or 96783000 instead of 96339000.

Do not identify the cartridge from the range name, handle shape or a partial measurement alone. Compare the existing cartridge markings and confirm the exact mixer code wherever possible.

Installation Note

Isolate both hot and cold water supplies before dismantling the mixer. Remove the operating handle and retaining component using the procedure specified for the exact mixer. Remove the old cartridge and associated seals, clean the valve seat and apply suitable silicone grease sparingly to the O-rings before assembly.
